Drafting table

It's a very rainy day here today. Smallest and I have been stuck inside. She seems happy enough playing with the washing, whilst I have been entertaining myself by looking for some 'small person' furniture.

I found this....

A beautiful children's drafting table and chair by Cheme Designs on Etsy. I would just love one of these for smallest.

Lovely bunny

Happy Friday afternoon. I love Fridays, just before the weekend begins it feels like they are full of potential. I should make sure I post every Friday, I am usually very sprightly and excited.

Today feels extra special, things seem a little more Spring like. Birds are singing, bulbs are popping up - a new beginning ???

Super Iconic Chairs

Here are some images of the exhibition I have been working on lately. 'A Century of Chairs' includes over 50 of the most iconic chairs from the past century... my favourite bit, as you can well imagine, is the small area of design for children.

The chairs are all on loan from the Design Museum in London. What a delightful organisation to work with. It's open until 7 April, so there is lots of time to catch it before all these lovely things head back into storage :)

Thousands of stickers

This is a repost of an amazing project... Images of this have been all over blogs and facebook pages recently, and its not surprising - what fun! I wanted to post it to keep a record for myself more than anything else. I am currently Programme Manager at Storey Gallery in Lancaster. Sometimes I need to remember simple is good.

Snowy adventure

We introduced smallest to the snow this weekend with a wintery adventure up Loughrigg Fell in the Lake District National Park. She was like a tiny pink snowman by the time we descended into Ambleside, very cold with lovely red cheeks and nose. The fabulous Kieth at Bike Treks leant us a towel to dry her off and warm her up. She was so hardy, I was so proud!

Smallest sporting Goretex spotty otter - she blended in well with the rest of us in our adventure kit!
